Summer Lee Jack I was born and raised in Texas, and grew up performing and drawing as much as possible. In high school I was very heavily involved in the high school musical but was also very interested in my art classes and making clothes in my Home Ec class... So, somehow when I decided that I wasn't going to be a professional actor, that I could do all of these things at once and put all my skills together and become a costume designer. I got my undergrad Theatre degree from Arizona State University, and then I did a lot of traveling, which I loved.

I am currently attending Yale School of Drama studying Design for the Stage (that's sets, lighting and costume) and earning my MFA, which keeps me pretty busy.

I also occasionally still make clothes, hats and jewelry for myself and friends, and continue taking classes in Figure Drawing... but most of my art is for the stage.

I am so happy to have studied with Dawn when I was so young. It was such good training and I will always remember her words of wisdom (Take your time! Don't rush! Are you going to finish this project?) and her love of the color purple.

 

Dawn is amazing with kids. Kids love her and she is great at getting the most incredible art work out of them. She is aways willing to try new things and experiment to find just the right projects for her students.
