Melissa Ackerman is our Featured Artist!

I began taking art classes 11 years ago on a whim when I was signing my daughter up for classes and noticed an adult class when I happened to have time available.  

At first it was just an escape vehicle for me, and no one was more surprised than I was to find out that I could actually draw and paint!  I like to paint in oil and water color, but think my strength is in portraits in charcoal or graphite pencil.
